Three things to include your money refresh routine & how I did them in February

You what they say:

  • “If you aim at nothing, you’ll hit it every time.”
  • “What gets measured, gets managed.”
  • “Learning without reflection is a waste.”

I don’t mean to start this off with bumper sticker talk, but these are all quotes that are central to today’s edition. If you’re my intended reader, I know you’re ambitious, and while ambition is great, what’s more important on our journey to our first $1,000,000 are three things. These three elements paired with our ambition, will make us not just people who are interested in reaching that goal, but individuals who are committed to reaching that goal (thanks for the inspo, John Assaraf).

Having a monthly money reset routine that involves planning, tracking, and reflecting will make you a millionaire — that’s my hypothesis, at least. By including planning, tracking, and reflecting into any monthly money refresh routine will keep you moving in the right direction. I’m sure there is research to support this (we’ll save that for a future edition), from an anecdotal perspective, though, doing these three things has helped get me to the $225,000 net-worth mark (with less than a six figure salary…
